Course Description:

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to load and unload plant - for example excavators, backhoes, skid steer loaders, dozers, loaders and graders - on to and off a trailer or float.

It covers preparing to load the plant, pre-operational checks, loading and securing the plant with load restraint equipment, unloading it safely, and cleaning up and stowing the loading aids afterwards.

Before doing this course you should already be able to operate the type of plant being loaded (for example, by holding the operator unit for that machine).

This is what is required if you wish to obtain this competency:

1. If you have not already done so, register with Logisafe. Register Here

2. Use the 'Apply for Training' button to apply for training.

3. We will send an invoice. Once this is paid, training arrangements will be made.

4. For the practical assessment you will load and unload at least two different types of plant, on at least two occasions.

Award:

Successful trainees will receive a Statement of Attainment.
