COURSE PROFILE


This unit specifies the competency required to undertake safe working practices when working at heights or depths. Wherever there is a potential for damage or injury to occur from a fall from heights, the work practices shall conform to relevant local legislation and AS/NZS1891, or it’s authorized update.

An accredited Logisafe trainer in Partnership with Tafe Queensland Mining Services (TQMS),

RTO No: 0438, conducts this training.


The course covers:

1) Identify work requirements. MNM G237/01

2) Prepare for work MNM G237/02

3) Access and install equipment. MNM G237/03

4) Perform work at Heights. MNM G237/04

5) Clean up work area. MNM G237/05


Training includes a lecture style power point presentation and group exercises including risk assessments, tripod erection and harness use, which place an emphasis on group discussion and the interaction of course trainees.

The training requires a full day of between 7 – 9 hours depending on group size (Max 10).


Successful trainees will receive a Statement of Attainment issued by Tafe Queensland.
