VERIFICATION OF COMPETENCY

Logisafe recommends to all clients that they initiate a system of ‘Competency Verification’ regularly assessing existing workers and capturing new employees to identify any gaps in existing certification skills and to identify opportunities for employee upskilling.

Logisafe maintains a team of accredited assessors with an extensive industry knowledge base. These assessors are available to perform ‘VOCs’ for your staff at a reasonable rate. Ensuring that you maintain an efficient and competent workforce that has up-to-date activity skills and current, industry ‘best practice’ knowledge.

Competency verifications involve ‘best practice’ presentations, short theory assessments and practical assessments.

They can be tailored to suit current workloads and meet individual client needs.

GAP ASSESSMENTS

Currently Queensland Workplace Health and Safety are updating existing prescribed occupation licences.

For some workers, particularly those with older ‘paper tickets’ this up-date process is identifying gaps in existing knowledge and skill levels. To facilitate the update process those workers with gaps identified will need to demonstrate current competency through ‘Gap Assessment’.
