Logisafe offers range of OHS awareness and Workplace activity training courses. Most of these courses are short (1 day or less) and are intended to create a more proactive approach to workplace health and safety.
MANUAL HANDLING
A 2-3 hour presentation (depending on class size) including individual and group activities aimed at identifying manual handling hazards, assessing the risks and implementing appropriate control measures. Award: Statement of Attendance.
GENERAL OH&S AWARENESS TRAINING:
These courses involve studying the applicable sections of the Safety Legislation (Act & Regulations) and the supporting Codes of Practice and Australian Standards to develop a comprehensive understanding of the participants Roles and Responsibilities. These are not set training courses; rather they are developed and structured to fit with the individuals particular work environment. Award: Statement of Attendance.
BASIC RISK MANAGEMENT
This training is aimed at improving the individual’s safety management skills at the workplace. The course takes 2-3 hours (depending on class size) and involves a power-point and lecture presentation followed by individual and group activities focused on ‘at work’ hazard identification, risk assessment and management. Award: Statement of Completion.
LASER SAFETY OFFICER
This training complies with AS: 2397 and is intended for construction workers that use Class II, III & IIIBR Lasers. AS: 2397 requires that construction sites have a designated Laser Safety Officer who is responsible for overseeing the set-up and use of any of the above Laser instruments. The ‘Class’ of a particular Laser instrument will be stamped on the Laser and indicates the power output of that Laser. Award: Statement of Completion. |
